Placco terrazzo slabs are produced with combination of desired natural stone aggregates, PC CEM I 52,5 white cement, iron oxide pigments and pozzolanic admixtures. To get natural stone aggregates, marble, granite, basalt and etc. is crashed with determined dimensions and gets sieved.

Terrazzo slabs should be transported steeply. Iron A-frames with 5 – 10 degree slope and wooden bundles with enough thickness to prevent stretching can be used during transportation. To prevent surface deformation, two polished surfaces should be facing each other when piling.

Placco terrazzo slabs can be sized, cut, with marble or granite cutters depending on aggregate content and formed as required. Any cement-based, acrylic-based or MS polymer suitable for natural stone bonding can be used during assembly.

Care and Maintenance

Placco terrazzo slabs contain natural stone aggregates. For this reason, staining liquids such as tea, coffee and wine should be wiped with a damp cloth without waiting to dry on the surface. The contact of foodstuffs containing acid, such as vinegar, lemon, orange, with the surface should be avoided.

For cleaning terrazzo slabs, marble surface cleaners with neutral pH or produced for natural stones should be used.

To protect all Placco terrazzo surfaces, it is recommended to imply impregnation materials that increase surface tension or protect the surface by reducing the water absorbency by creating a transparent film layer on the surface at least every 2 years.
